FUCK CANCER

As some of you may know, my grandmother has been battling cancer. After delaying treatment for some time, the time has now come for her to begin care — and we are not financially prepared.

I’m reaching out because I’m currently struggling to find work. In 2025, I was let go from my job after experiencing unexpected medical issues of my own that affected my ability to work at the time. Since then, I’ve been actively applying everywhere — despite having experience and a degree — but I haven’t been able to secure a position. I’ve even applied to fast food restaurants and entry-level roles with no success. It’s been incredibly discouraging.

I’m 35 years old and feel like I should be able to help my family financially, but right now I can’t. That has taken a serious toll on my mental health. Being called a “freeloader” by someone I trusted deeply only made that struggle heavier.

My mom is doing everything she can to cover my grandmother’s insurance and medical expenses. Because of the cost, she has stopped paying for her own health insurance so she can try to help her mother. She lives with diabetes, chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, and has had strokes. Recently, she’s had moments where she completely forgets what she was doing — and I’m scared. She isn’t taking care of herself because she’s trying to hold everything together financially.

With the new year, the insurance deductible has reset, and we now need to cover $2,000 out of pocket before coverage begins.

If you’ve read this far, thank you. Any amount — no matter how small — would mean more than I can express. Even sharing this post would help us tremendously.

If anyone has direct job leads or knows of anyone hiring, I am open to any opportunity. Any hourly rate is okay — I just want to be able to support my family during this difficult time.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers.
